My congregation (Southeast Hebrew Congregation in White Oak) will be participating in the Shabbos Project and will be hosting special programming for this special Shabbos. In addition to a full Shabbos program which is planned, there are 3 events which will focus on the greater Silver Spring/ DC community, to empower people living in all areas to set up their own, meaningful, Shabbos Project Experience. Click Here For the Flier

* The Shabbos Project Empowerment Seminar, and Children’s Crafts Program-

Sunday, October 19, 2:00-3:30pm includes all skills and background you need to know to participate in the Shabbos Project in your own home and with your neighbors. Simultaneous children’s craft program and childcare available by reservation. No prior Judaic knowledge required.

 *  Women’s Challah Making Workshop-

Thursday, October 23, 7:30-9:30pm Participants will be guided in how to make the Challah dough, perform the mitzvah of taking Challah, and how to braid the Shabbos loaves.

 * Havdallah Celebration and Melaveh Malkah Concert-

Motzoei Shabbos, October 25, 9:00-10:30pm
