Rabbi Rhine

Rabbi Mordechai Rhine serves as founder and director of TEACH613. He also serves on the Geirus Beis Din of the Vaad of Greater WashingtRabbi Mordechai Rhineon. Originally from Monsey, NY, he has dedicated over 20 years to the field of Rabbonus, specializing in Jewish education and Shalom Bayis work.

Rabbi Rhine holds semicha (rabbinic ordination) from Rabbi Berel Wein and Rabbi Shmuel Meir Katz. His academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Rabbinic and Talmudic Studies from Beth Medrash Gevoha and an MA in Educational Leadership from Bellevue University.

He is the author of “The Magic of Shabbos: A Journey Through the Shabbos Experience” (1998), which received an approbation from Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, then Chief Ashkenazic Rabbi of Israel. A second edition of this popular book is expected to be released shortly.

Rabbi Rhine’s commitment to Torah education focuses on Yomi (daily) learning. His “Take Ten for Talmud” audio series www.teach613.org/take-ten-for-talmud/ follows the Daf Yomi cycle to provide key insights from throughout the entire Talmud, making complex texts accessible to diverse audiences. A project is currently underway to make this series available in print.

Rabbi Rhine has begun the Shulchan Aruch Initiative (SHAI) which includes audio recordings covering approximately one chapter each session. This program also includes a Thursday night Zoom group meeting at which the topics of the week are discussed. Participation is by subscription. Additionally, many of Rabbi Rhine’s shiurim are posted on YU Torah, including his popular Perek Shira presentations, as well as on Aneinu, where he is a seasonal featured presenter.

Rebbetzin Yittie Rhine

Rebbetzin Yittie Rhine, originally from Brooklyn, New York, holds a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Long Island University and works part-time in that field. She has extensive experience providing guidance to women across all stages of life.


Rabbi and Rebbetzin Rhine reside in Baltimore, Maryland, where they maintain a welcoming home together with their children.
